Excerpts from the conversation..
Describe 2020 in one sentence
So much happened this year in terms of highs and lows. It’s been a mixed bag of surprising events and feelings.
How different has this year been for you?
As I said, a lot of unexpected things happened, and I found myself feeling and doing things that I wouldn’t have otherwise imagined myself feeling or doing.
Favourite OTT show of 2020
It has to be Ramy.
Talent you acquired in 2020
Since I got a lot of time all by myself during the lockdown this year, I learnt how to play the guitar.
Holiday destination you missed in 2020
My work usually makes me travel a lot. So I kind of enjoyed staying home for a few months. So I didn’t really miss any particular destination.
Any regrets of 2020
Resolutions/Goals for 2021
There’s no resolution that I would want to have for 2021. I will try to retain some personal learnings from 2020 and build on them further.
How was your experience on returning to the sets post the lockdown?
It was heartwarming to return to shooting. There was a mild sense of nostalgia at the familiar sights and sounds, but also a sense of bizarreness around the new ways of working around the pandemic. A lot has changed when you’re on the set, but there’s nothing like being on the set again.
One film you are looking forward to in 2021
I’m really excited about my own first film as a lead. I cannot talk about it right now, but it’s an exciting one.
What’s next for you?
The one film mentioned above that will be announced soon. And a couple of other projects that are still being discussed.
